I had been considering painting the ceiling with a couple of layers of liquid damp proofing before applying the last ceiling layer and I had kind of been putting off adding the layer for this reason. There was some concern that moisture might seep up into the ceiling void along with the remote possibility of a roof leak. Having this layer would perhaps alleviate any damage that may result. Anyway, instead thinking about it too much, and bearing in mind that there is no real downside to doing it I thought I would just go ahead with it. So that was it, I painted two coats of this over the weekend; one on Saturday and the second on Sunday. I can now move on, and next weekend hopefully finish the drywall once and for all!!

More wall and ceiling filling this weekend. I only had a few hours available on Sunday as I was constructing a new fence in the garden on Saturday. Pretty much there - I'll be attaching the final ceiling layer hopefully next weekend.

We attended a wedding this weekend so nothing over the weekend itself. I did take Monday off work so I was able to do a bit of work Monday afternoon. I spent this time finishing off some wall edges and filling gaps and screw heads. I need to take care on this job to ensure that the walls are relatively smooth and free of marks as I'll be painting the surface directly without skimming.

Drywall, drywall and yet more drywall!! OK, I spent all day on good Friday in an effort to get the drywall complete and I'm glad to say that I got all three layers attached to the walls and all that remains is to put the last ceiling layer up!! I'm nearing the end of this stage, which seems to have taken forever! Another mornings work and the drywall will be complete - but that will have to wait until another weekend as the rest of the Easter break was spent with the family friends etc. enjoying the warmer weather!

I had very limited time available on Saturday morning to put a few pieces of drywall up. My wife was away the rest of the time so I spent the rest of the weekend with my children.
